Dunne, Camara, and De Haan wrap up support race programme with wins at F1 Bahrain GP 2025
Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, wrapped up its support race programme this afternoon in the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025.
Alexander Dunne, Rafael Camara, and Robert De Haan were all victorious today in their respective championships.
Dunne of Rodin Motorsport took the victory in the feature race of the FIA Formula 2 Championship, held over 32 laps.
He won after starting from fourth on the grid in a time of 59:40.123. He finished 8.244 seconds ahead of Luke Browning of Hitech TGR. Leonardo Fornaroli of Invicta Racing came third 19.433s behind.
Meanwhile, Camara triumphed from pole in the 22-lap feature race of the FIA Formula 3 Championship today.
Camara was able to build his lead after the first few laps and finished 6.211s ahead of Callum Voisin of Rodin Motorsport. Tim Tramnitz of MP Motorsport joined them on the podium in third after 7.884s back.
Also today, De Haan completed a clean sweep of round five in the 2024/2025 Porsche Sprint Challenge Middle East.
De Haan won the weekend’s second 11-lap race ahead of Janne Stiak with a 5.7s gap at the chequered flag. Angus Whiteside joined them on the podium after finishing 18.0s back. All three drivers were competing in the PCCME’s Pro class. Winning the ProAm category was Khaled Alahmadi while Bankcy took first place in the Masters class.
With today’s result, De Haan wrapped up a perfect weekend in Bahrain, topping both practice timesheets, securing a double pole, and winning both races.
The stage is now set for the weekend’s main event, the 57-lap F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025, scheduled to flag off this evening at 6pm.
