Record sell-out crowd witness a weekend of spectacular racing and entertainment at the 20th Anniversary Bahrain Grand Prix

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, today announced a record sell-out crowd for the final day of the 2024 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, the Kingdom’s 20th anniversary race.
37,000 spectators witnessed a spectacular night race in Sakhir, the highest single day attendance in the race’s history, with a total of 100,000 attending over the weekend.
Commenting on the conclusion of the 2024 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, Arif Rahimi, Chairman of Bahrain International Circuit, said:
“I congratulate Max Verstappen on his victory in Bahrain at our 20th anniversary race.
“The race weekend has offered a fitting tribute to our 20 years in Formula 1. Our record attendance yet again shows the popularity of the sport in Bahrain, the region and beyond and offers us great confidence that we can continue to develop the event well into the future.”
“I offer my thanks to Formula 1 and the FIA for their partnership and support in delivering an incredible weekend of racing. I also thank the teams, The Bahrain Motor Federation, marshals and all those who enable us to put on such an incredible show for fans around the world.”
