Titles to be decided in National Race Day final round at BIC on Friday

An exciting final round of National Race Day is set for this Friday at BIC in Sakhir, “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”.

Four of the kingdom’s most competitive circuit racing series will be getting into the action along BIC’s 2.55-kilometre Inner Track. These include the BIC 2,000cc Challenge, the Bahrain Superbike Championship (BSBK), the Bahrain Motorcycle Racing (BMR) 600 and the Bahrain Super Sport Championship (BSSP) 125.

All motorsport fans are welcome to attend the round. The latter half of the meeting will be held under the bight floodlights of BIC. Tickets are available at the gate at BD2 per adult. Children can enter for half the price.

Racing is scheduled to get underway at 1.45pm with the BMR 600’s practice. The BSBK riders then take centre stage with practice at 2.20pm, followed by the BIC 2,000cc Challenge practice at 2.55pm.

BMR 600 qualifying will then take place at 3.30pm, and then BSBK qualifying flags off at 3.55pm.

At 4.20pm, BSSP 125 will go for their practice, and then at 4.55pm qualifying for the BIC 2,000cc Challenge takes place.

That sets the stage for the round’s races. The BMR 600’s first 11-lap sprint is scheduled for 5.52pm, with the second race at 8.37pm.

For the BSSP 125, qualifying is at 6.20pm to determine the grid for the evening’s lone race at 8.02pm.

The BSBK’s first race, also over 11 laps, will begin at 6.52pm, followed by race two at 9.12pm.

The season’s final races of the BIC 2,000cc Challenge then take place. The first 12-lap battle has been set for 7.25pm, followed by race two at 9.48pm, which will be the season-ending event.

Titles will be decided in this upcoming meeting, ensuring plenty of drama and battles out on the race track.
