Verstappen completes F1 Practice hat-trick

Max Verstappen completed his Practice hat-trick today in the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2021 at Bahrain International Circuit.

After topping the times in the first two sessions of the weekend on Friday, Verstappen continued to impress in his Red Bull RB16B and clocked a fastest lap time of 1min 30.577secs in the third hour-long session.

He outduelled seven-time F1 drivers’ world champion Lewis Hamilton for the top spot by 0.739secs.
Pierre Gasly also showed some strong pace going third for AlphaTauri 1.006secs off the leading mark. Valtteri Bottas (+1.278s) was fourth and Sergio Perez (+1.331s) fifth, while Carlos Sainz (+1.531s) completed the top six.

Kimi Raikkonen and Esteban Ocon were seventh and eighth, respectively, while Lance Stroll and Daniel Ricciardo completed the top 10.

Eleventh through 20th, respectively, were Charles Leclerc, Antonio Giovinazzi, Yuki Tsunoda, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, Lando Norris, George Russell, Mick Schumacher, Nikita Mazepin and Nicholas Latifi.

Qualifying follows at 6pm this evening.
