BIC set for four straight nights of spectacular Formula 1 entertainment for fans as ‘The Desert Never Sleeps’ in Sakhir
- Exciting off-track evening attractions during race week include F1 Pit Lane Walk on Thursday, R3HAB concert on Friday, Peggy Gou show on Saturday, and Axwell post-race celebration on Sunday
The nights will come to life at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) later this week as the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025 showcases that “The Desert Never Sleeps” in Sakhir.
The F1 spectacle takes place this Friday to Sunday (11 to 13 April) at ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, but the off-track excitement begins before that on Thursday (10 April).
Set to be major attractions on four successive evenings at BIC are the F1 Pit Lane Walk and three mega concerts featuring music superstars R3HAB on Friday, Peggy Gou on Saturday, and Axwell in the post-race celebrations on Sunday.
These are all part of the stellar entertainment programme lined up by BIC for those attending this year’s F1 spectacle, which marks the fourth round of the 2025 FIA F1 World Championship.
Thursday’s F1 Pit Lane Walk is open to all three-day ticket holders. It is scheduled for 7pm to 8.30pm and it can be enjoyed at no extra cost.
This fan-favourite activity gives fans the chance to see the F1 teams up close and in person as they work in their garages ahead of the start of racing. Fans will be able to take pictures and, if lucky, spot one of their favourite F1 drivers in their team garage, working on their cars with their engineers and mechanics.
Those interested in being a part of the activity are advised to arrive at BIC early on the day due to the massive turnout each year.
Meanwhile, in the first of the weekend’s concert series, multi-platinum DJ and producer Fadil El Ghoul, better known as R3HAB, will be performing live on the Friday night at BIC on 11 April. His epic show will bring the curtain down on the first full day of action and entertainment.
R3HAB has been trailblazing his way through dance music for the past 15 years. His work has collected over 12 billion streams to date, including more than 1.1 billion in 2024 alone.
R3HAB continues to evolve and diversify his sound by working with artists around the world, pushing the boundaries of dance music as he collaborates across genres and languages.
On the Saturday night of the grand prix on 12 April, international dance music superstar Peggy Gou will be taking to the stage.
Few artists in recent memory have made such an impact on popular culture as Peggy Gou. From underground sensation to global icon, she has become one of the world’s most recognisable and recognised names in dance music and beyond.
Gou’s natural feel for the warmth, joy, and freedom of house and techno’s legacy led to a run of irresistible releases that have quickly become international hits.
On race day this Sunday at BIC, Grammy-nominated artist, DJ and producer Axwell will be performing to the delight of the crowd. His show will make for a spectacular party off the track right after the thrills of the Kingdom’s 57-lap F1 spectacle.
Axwell is the co-founder of both Swedish House Mafia and Axwell Λ Ingrosso. As part of Swedish House Mafia, he picked up back-to-back Grammy nominations in the category of “Best Dance Recording” for the platinum “Save the World” in 2012 and quintuple-platinum “Don’t You Worry Child” in 2013.
Axwell has also claimed a spot on DJ Mag’s “Top 100 DJs” list nine times and won four DJ Awards. Today, he continues to reach a new stratosphere with each evolution as he sets the pace for electronic music and connects with audiences everywhere.
All three concerts at the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will be open to all ticket-holders at no extra cost.
This year’s F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix is expected to be another record-breaking event for the Kingdom and BIC.
All grandstand tickets to the race weekend have already completely sold out, including seats at the Main, Turn 1, Beyon, University, and Victory grandstands. Fans who have missed out on these seats can still get tickets to BIC’s last remaining hospitality option, The Dome by F1 Experiences, but there is only very limited availability. This is a unique way to enjoy the F1 weekend, with plenty of exclusive offerings throughout the three days.
BIC’s other hospitality options, including the Paddock Club, Corporate Lounges, and Champions Club, are all also completely sold out, so fans interested in being a part of the F1 spectacle must act fast to secure their passes to The Dome by F1 Experiences.
The Dome by F1 Experiences features a dedicated grandstand located along the Main Straight with comfortable, seat-back style seating. Fans can enjoy exceptional views of the Podium and pit entry, and also see the cars as they navigate the final turn before accelerating down the track. The package also includes complimentary lunch dishes, lite bites, refreshments and live performances by DJs, roaming entertainers and more between track sessions.
For more information on The Dome by F1 Experiences or to make a booking, call +973-17451086.
The F1 action will be supported by three leading racing series, including the FIA Formula 2 Championship, the FIA Formula 3 Championship, and the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East.
There will also be plenty more off-track attractions for the whole family to enjoy.
A special charity auction has been launched by BIC in the lead-up to F1 weekend, aiming to raise money for the Royal Humanitarian Foundation. With the generosity of many of the F1 teams, BIC has gathered an incredible selection of unique items of F1 memorabilia along with some amazing donations from Gulf Air. The auction is now live and will continue until race day on 13 April. It can be accessed on the mazad.app under the ‘BIC Memorabilia’ category.
