Caleb Sumich was quickest today morning in the first practice session of the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East’s (PCCME) 2025/2026 season-opening round, being held as part of the weekend’s events in the Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain at Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.

Sumich posted a fastest lap time of 2mins 03.409secs in 14 laps of work. Saud Al Saud followed on the times 0.474secs behind, while Alexandra Vateva was third-quickest 0.615s back.

All three drivers are competing in the PCCME’s Pro category.

Setting the pace in the ProAm class was Sam Shahin with a best lap of 2:04.043, while Mark J Thomas was the leader in the Masters category with a top lap time of 2:05.452.

The PCCME field will return to the track for a second practice today starting at 3.40pm.
